Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow

I have been waiting for this blush for quite a while because I have heard good reviews about it, so when I saw this on the Maybelline counter, I just had to try it for myself. The hand swatch was very pretty that I applied it on my cheeks as well (something I don't normally do), and then BAM! I'm in love! The color is something that I have been searching for because I like wearing color on my lips so having a versatile blush is essential to me. This blush is pigmented, but the color applies softly giving the skin that healthy and glowing. The Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow retails at P199 and is available in three beautiful shades!

Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow  Blush in Cream Cinnamon

The shade I got is Cream Cinnamon, which is a soft peachy pink blush that will look good on any lip or eye makeup color. There are shimmers on the pan, but it doesn't show on the skin at all, which is a great thing because I don't really fancy shimmer blushes. I use them but don't really prefer it.

Maybelline claims that this is a lightweight and silky smooth. Blush Studio Cheeky Glow blends flawlessly for our natural finish. Well, if you ask me, that's spot-on, and the product lived up to its claims because this is one of the most silky-smooth blushes I have ever tried. It's very pigmented but forgiving, allowing very easy application. It's super blendable that you can use your fingers to put it on!

This is a slightly heavy swatch as I applied 3 thin layers of the blush. As you can see, the color is very pretty and there isn't too many shimmer on my hands. When applied to the cheeks with a brush, the shimmer completely disappears so girls with oily skin and large pores like me shouldn't worry :). This is a flattering shade that will look good on anyone. It lasts on my skin the whole day which is one of the biggest surprises of this product, and the longer it stays on the skin, the prettier and more natural it looks.

Not let's get down to the pros and cons....

PROS:

  • Very pigmented
  • Flattering shade
  • Silky-smooth
  • Long-staying
  • Buildable
  • Easy to apply
  • Very affordable
  • Not powdery
  • Applies evenly

CON:

NONE!

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! Maybe others will see the packaging as a con because it's a little flimsy, but I honestly don't mind. For the price, you cannot really expect a high-quality packaging, can you? The most important thing is the blush works amazing, and you get more than what you paid for. Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow in Cinnamon is a great quality blush that anyone should try.
